Kid has the ability to see other people's souls. In doing so, he can get a general idea of what a character is like—such as their personality, whether they're good or evil, or even if they're human or not. The souls serve as a kind of "ID Mark" so if activated, he can recognize someone by their soul. This also means he's capable of tracking someone by searching for their soul wavelength, but it's not precise and he has to be within a certain range to do it. It's mostly an "active" skill, meaning Kid has to activate it to fully concentrate and utilize it. However, as a death god Kid is also sensitive to soul wavelengths in general, so he'll be able to passively pick up faint traces of powerful souls.
So with that in mind, just fill out this little form to let me know what all Kid can determine about a character's soul! This...probably won't happen that often (by default I won't have him look), but should the case arise, I'd like to have a good handle.
Also, in Soul Eater world, the souls also have physical characteristics that also represent the person, so if you want your character to have some kind of spiffy design, feel free xD

Any specific traits he would be able to note? She's good, creative, smart, a lot younger than she looks (by about half at this point), she has a natural command over air, is only half human (other race is call J'har, though not sure he'd know that without asking.)
BONUS! Soul Description Probably a light blue to white color, something of a swirl to it, like moving air, and probably has little pointed "elf" ears like she has.

Any specific traits he would be able to note? Intelligence, curiosity, a certain amount of pragmatism. More notably would be a sort of fragmentation; there is a human soul there, after all, but it's somewhat buried.
BONUS! Soul Description Something layered? IDK, maybe a yellow core with a white exterior. The outer portion would become more opaque as GLaDOS behaved maliciously or mechanically, more transparent as she behaved more 'human'.

Any specific traits he would be able to note? Well, she's compassionate and loving and protective and smart, but she's also stubborn and strong willed. Important to note that she's weak on self esteem.

Any specific traits he would be able to note? HOPE COMING OUT OF HIS EARS. He believes that everyone has good in them, no matter how small and is a very uplifting little spirit. There's also the will and drive to protect innocent souls from anything that wishes to cause them harm, but it's not hatred for the opposing party.
BONUS! Soul Description It's late, but let's see here. Well, I'd imagine a light blue glowing bitty, with his... head tentacle thing floating along behind him. If we want to get REALLY CLICHE then maybe a small Blue Lantern symbol in the center. Because why not.

Any specific traits he would be able to note? Aaron is, at heart, a good person, though he's a bit mischievous and sometimes prone to failing utterly to see the big picture. He's also quite intelligent, but he has very, very low self-esteem and thinks very little of himself.
BONUS! Soul Description GREEN. Aaron's soul is VERY green, with a big nose.
Extra: his soul's got some cracks in it that glow a very different green than the main color. the main color is a dark, healthy green, like leaves in summer; the cracks are an acidic, poison looking green. Aaron suffers from a slow terminal disease that actually primarily afflicts the soul, and it's killing him. YAY.

Any specific traits he would be able to note? Basic personality traits would be kind, brotherly, calm, intelligent, loyal, creative, withdrawn, distrustful, worried, suspicious. There is also some kind of corruption, but it's buried deep and doesn't seem to be affecting him. (Yet.)
BONUS! Soul Description A dark blue soul that usually has a calm smile. The two spikes from the top of his hair are present, the larger of the two becoming the "tail" of the soul. His sideburns are also present. I drew it a while ago.
Extra: The corruption is from exposure to a virus-like biometal back in his world. It occasionally manifests and makes him go homicidal crazy. When this happens, the expression of his soul becomes a twisted sneer even if he still seems outwardly normal, and patches of silver hexagonal scales will appear on his soul.

Douchebag with a hear of gold.Despite being an utter ASSHOLE and Mr. Short-tempered-Prickly-Badass-toughguy most of the time, Gokudera is actually has terribly low self-esteem. So when he makes "friends" (by being douches to them and seeing if they stay) he isobsessivelyprotective and loyal to them. He's also a very intelligent MASSIVE NERD and is good at strategies and such. Also terrible at reading social cues if he's not in a fight.BONUS! Soul Description Probably red and looking very pissy, probably with his octopus hair style-ish thing
Extra: There's a dead "will" (fancy term for spirit) in his Vongola ring, and Gokudera sheers a weird mild mental-emotional bond thing with his cat-box-weapon.

Any specific traits he would be able to note? The most secretly depressing person ever. He's kind of a compulsive helper, and holds himself very properly so as not to be a disgrace to anyone. He's passive and has a lot of musical talent.... and also very scary-good when it comes to killing people. And sadly, a bad habbit of bottling things up until he SNAPS, which can make him lean towards being suicidal.
BONUS! Soul Description Blue, perma-smile, comes with his

BONUS! Soul Description Her soul is a dark charcoal color, except for a 'mane' that runs along the back, making it look like it's trailing fire. On the 'chest' is a small mockingjay design, like the pin she wears.

Any specific traits he would be able to note? A crazy passion for food, and for feeding people; a strong desire never to let anyone go hungry. An appreciative love for women and female beauty (crosses over into a(n 'innocent') perversion sometimes (he'll think pervy thoughts, but nothing ever harmful towards a woman. He'd likely just think sexy stuff + drool over it)); a desire to dote and fawn on the ladies; a 'chivalry' towards them. A hot temper, coupled with a decent intelligence, and a friendly nature (that he tries to deny/hide sometimes). A deep connection with the sea; you might get a hint that he's searching for the unknown. A strong, deep love of his crew/nakama/family (again, even though he'll deny/hide that regarding the male members). A drive never to be helpless/a burden ever again, and a desire to protect/defend the weaker/those he cares about (as a result of the former). A very strong, unbreakable will/faith in his crew.

Any specific traits he would be able to note? Short-tempered, indifferent, fight expert but otherwise rather dumb, rude, loyal, a bit childish yet serious, minimalistic, very strong willpower. IMPORTANT: his body is entirely artificial and his 'soul' (at least a part of it) has belonged to a regular human before. It might look slightly detached or otherwise "off".
BONUS! Soul Description Probably blue or black with a tuft for a ponytail and perpetual frown.
Extra: not that I can think of besides the whole artificial human thing. Also his soul seems to be tied to his weapon when it's activated, but it can be debated.

Any specific traits he would be able to note? Darkstar is secretive, manipulative, power hungry, unforgiving, and extremely vain. However, he is also very intelligent, creative, thorough, capable, and unyielding. His weakness is his own pride and vanity. He has a superiority complex and regards himself as better than most "normal" humans. He is also inhuman/nonhuman himself. He very much fancies himself a predator, which he is in actuality. Though he thinks himself above others, he is also dependent on them for survival, given his biology as a life energy vampire.
BONUS! Soul DescriptionAs Darkstar: His soul is a grey orbish shape with a black center. It has a 'mouth' that opens, revealing a mouth filled with row upon row of sharklike teeth. Its "eye" indentations also have dark circles around them. As Michael Morningstar: His soul is a bright yellow orb with a similar "mouth," but no circles around the eye indents. His golden soul also sparkles and smiles, possibly menacingly.
Extra: Depending on whether or not Darkstar is glittering gold or his withered self determines the appearance of his soul.

Can Kid see the soul: Y - well, most of the time. If Spade's trying to hide, he actually has learned to mask presence, so it might be faded/indeterminate mist/not really visible when he's invisible/covering.

Soul Description It's riddled indigo and black, probably kind of "leaking" indigo mist and ...black... uhm ... well something he'd expect to see around Dead Things, Returned Dead Things, Etc., and yeah, undeath-crud/dimensional hole/stuff leaking from The Other Side. It's also probably pretty damn noticeable; he's about a hundred years old and one of the more powerful people in his canon, although his reserves are recovering from being burned through badly.
Extra: While the Manor has brought him back to life, he has been dead for a good while.

Soul Description Bright freaking vivid glowing yellow, with glittering motes around it, and kind of like a bubble filled with concentrated, liquid sunlight... though it's probably a little hollow-looking - like a lot of the energy that SHOULD be there isn't being stored with HIM, and there's probably some kind of cracks and fault-lines starting to form, like it's starting to crumble from the inside.
Extra: As much as he looks physically 2, he's in his 30's in every other respect. Also yes, he probably does only have a couple years or so to live thanks to the curse.

Not in the same way as Spade, but! She's definitely been kicked pretty freaking hard, and a lack of trust for people is a big thing for her. She's also incredibly disciplined and serious. Also she's kind of a magical powerhouse.

Soul Description Honestly it would probably seem ridiculously contained for someone as magically powerful as she is (owing to the fact that there is a very distinct soul = magic connection for mages in her world) and is probably about the color of a good thunderhead with like, burning-magnesium white streaks swirled in for extra mindfuck.

By that I mean as playful as he is, buddy buddy teasing with others, it takes a lot for him to even begin to trust someone. Though hes an ass that tries to play it cool he can kind of be a softie. He's surprisingly resourceful, and can be manipulative to get the information he wants. Additionally, though he's a huge mess he's a damn professional!

Any specific traits he would be able to note? Rex's soul emanates a strong sense of loyalty and determination; he is clearly a fighter and protector to the end if the situation calls for it. He's also creative, free-spirited and compassionate, but underneath it all is a barely audible whisper of self doubt and insecurity.
BONUS! Soul Description Dark blue in color with glowing neon blue tech lines covering it and rounded off projections - essentially a loosely shaped Omega-1 style nanite. Almost floating over the top of it is a glowing blue wisp that looks like blue flame.
Extra: Should Rex's nanites start to go into high defense mode (POSSIBLE DANGER: REBOOTING!), parts of the "nanite" unlock and shift to form a large gear that encircles the rest of the soul. The gear will then start to whirl around the sphere part of his soul, faster and faster...

Any specific traits he would be able to note? Even when he's being cheery on the surface, Dead End is a black hole of depression. Morbid, pessimistic, fatalist. Not a good soul, but too depressed to be evil.
BONUS! Soul Description: A ball of crackling energy, laced through with sparks of maroon and black. Sometimes there are gray, yellow, purple or blue shadows. His soul looks like even in organic form.
Extra: Not human, of course, being a Cybertronian. Sometimes it seems like there's four other people in there with him--one is manic/ADHD, one is paranoid, one is insecure/egotistical, and the final one is malicious, violent and sadistic.

Any specific traits he would be able to note? He's half dead. Or at least has ghost powers. Kid could probably could tell right off the bat if Vlad uses his ghost powers. Also, he's selfish, intelligent, cunning, arrogant, has a double agenda to everything he does, and is a lonely soul, who desperately wants relationships he cannot obtain. He would probably see Vlad's ghost half, vampiric, white 80s Dracula clothing, black hair shaped like horns.
BONUS! Soul Description For the sake of canon, his soul would simply be his ghost half, but Kid could probably see a slimy green aura Vlad uses to defend himself against ghost hunting weapons.

Character: Skeleton Jack, the Pumpkin King | "ramsusfaust"
Can Kid see the soul: if Jack has one then i'd say yes.
Any specific traits he would be able to note? guess Jack's soul traits would kinda be a mix. The Master of Terror thing kind of make him more then a little unsettling, since he's an immortal skeleton and the master of fright it would be a safe bet that there isn't even a drop of fear in him, but there is def a lighter side to him- a fierce streak of loyalty, and a deep curiosity for new things.
BONUS! Soul Description The Pumpkin King's soul would probably look like a giant Jack o lantern on fire, with strings of Christmas lights wrapped around it like barbed wire.
Extra: lol, umm not sure how it all works but it would be funny if his soul seemed to be torn between constantly humming the pumpkin song and random Christmas carols.

Can Kid see the soul: YES!
Any specific traits he would be able to note? Darkstar is deceptive, on the outside, he can look cool and collected, and he works best with plans. He's not good at improvising, so his soul would reflect that. He's nonhuman, though he can take on a human appearance with enough power. Kid would definitely be able to tell that his soul is something other than default human. He might be able to sense Darkstar's energy manipulation abilities...possibly even that they are hunger based.
BONUS! Soul DescriptionDarkstar's soul shifts whether he is "Michael" or "Darkstar." As Michael, his soul is a golden ball of light with a single hair curl. It smiles smugly. As Darkstar, it is a cranky looking grey ball with dark circles around its eyes.
Extra: Darkstar is a mana leech. As a God of Death, Kid's mana has an intoxicating lure, but after its initial heady reaction, it spirals into a physically painful consumption. Congratulations, Kid. He is allergic to you.
